Packaging

Off-Site Packaging

Large companies that produce a variety of products often have separate packaging facilities. These may be a separate division of the company, or they may be owned by another company. The reason for the separation is to focus on doing one type of job at a time such as production or packaging. This allows for a more efficient operation in either plant setting. It enables plant managers to concentrate on making sure their facility is the most efficiently run operation in their division. Tighter focus means fewer errors and accidents. It keeps labor and space costs lower and creates a better overall product.
